UTV TIRES

As of 2024-2025, the "DOT" rating for UTV tires has been largely phased out by manufacturers. Most premium tires, like the Maxxis Roxxzilla and Alpha UTV Tires, are now labeled "For NHS (Not for Highway Service)." We recommend checking your local state laws for street-legal requirements, as many jurisdictions focus on ply rating and tread depth rather than a DOT stamp.

For most modern machines like the RZR Pro R or Can-Am X3, an 8-ply radial tire is the industry standard for the best balance of weight and puncture resistance. If you frequently ride in sharp, jagged rock terrain, upgrading to a 10-ply rated tire provides maximum sidewall protection and durability.
